General Terms and Conditions
- All prices are quoted in ZAR and are valid for 30 days
- All orders require 50% deposit before production will begin, and balance is due before dispatch. Full payment required upfront for custom orders
- Allow up to 6 weeks lead time for production on custom and made-to-order requests
- Shipping lead time depends on choice of carrier
- All return/exchange queries must be emailed within 10 days of receipt of delivery. Note: No returns or exchanges on wallpaper, fabric orders, custom and made-to- order items (including lampshades)
- Design, production and product photos are owned by Handmade By Me and may not be copied or reproduced without permission
Full Terms and Conditions
- Textiles are digitally or screen printed, using eco-friendly water-based pigment inks on natural fibre textiles.
- All fabrics used are 100% cotton, except scarves which are 2% polyester 98% cotton.
- Cushion covers are made slightly smaller than the size of their inner to ensure a snug fit
- Recommended care: hand and machine-wash cold and gentle. There is minimal shrinkage.
Payment and Orders
All prices are quoted in ZAR and are valid for 30 days. The final amount charged may be affected by currency rates, credit card fees or any customs/duties tax.
All orders require 50% deposit before production will begin, and the balance is due before dispatch. Full payment is required upfront for custom and made-to- order requests. Please allow up to 6 weeks lead time for production on custom orders.
Products are posted within 3 working days of payment if in stock. Delivery can take between 3-10 working days depending on the choice of either the Post Office or courier. If a product is not in stock, please allow 3-6 weeks for dispatch.
Any customs duties/ taxes of the original order are at customer cost.
We do not accept liability for loss or breakages after the products leave our premises, and cannot be held responsible for any delays in delivery once the products are with the courier or Post Office.
Post Office: National orders can take around 3-5 working days. International orders can take around 7-10 working days, and parcels will be returned if they are not claimed within 30 days on arrival into your country.
Please check your tracking number even if you have not received a note of arrival as Handmade By Me will not be liable for unclaimed items. You can check your tracking number at https://tracking.postoffice.co.za/TrackNTrace/.
Courier (within SA only): Courier can take between 1 and 3 days from the date of collection for your parcel to arrive depending on the size, weight and delivery location.
To ensure your parcel arrives: 1) include a contact number on the delivery slip and 2) make sure there is someone at the specified address to sign for the parcel.
Returns and Exchanges
All return and exchange queries must be emailed within 10 days of receipt of delivery. There are no returns or exchanges on wallpaper, fabric orders, custom and made-to- order items (including lampshades).
If the wrong item is sent, we will resend a replacement at no additional charge (this excludes custom orders).
If the return or exchange is approved, and the product is still in the same condition as it was sent, a full refund excluding the original shipping fee will be processed. However, return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
Design, production and photos are owned by Handmade By Me and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.
Product photos requested and used for print or online must credit Handmade By Me.
Handmade By Me reserves the right to periodically alter the terms and conditions. It is the customer’s responsibility to check on any changes to the terms and conditions.
